The speck chasers…

Chris is a pastor in Florida. His church is one of those type that catches some heat because they’re uncoventional and “relevant” (which has somehow become a big sin in some sectors of the Body of Christ… But that’s a blog for another day.)

Recently Chris’ wife got pregnant – a real blessing because they had been told for years that they would never have a child. A couple of weeks ago they miscarried. It was devastating, as anyone who’s been through such a thing can attest.

Chris received a personal email from one of the “online discernment ministry” bloggers. The person told him that they lost the baby as a result of God’s judgment on their lives because Chris was helping to “spread the apostasy”.

Just one more piece of evidence that helps build my case that these online discernment ministry people are not nice people. They are hate-filled, judgmental “beam-eyes.”

I’m not “big” enough for the ODM pinheads to pay attention to me, and neither is my church, so I don’t flatter myself into thinking that any of them will ever read this, — but there is something fundamentally wrong with you if you imagine that God has called you to attack other followers of Jesus, or your “ministry” is mocking the personal tragedy of others.

What you need to “discern” is what has so poisoned your soul that you feel led to “bite and devour” and to speak whatever crumb of truth you might stumble upon completely devoid of love.

As I read around some of the “Christian” BLOGS I have to say I really appreciate your statement here …. A LOT!!!!!!!

So very true. Its amazing how much “friendly fire” damage Christians take part in.
